Happy Easter!
So sad and scary to think of Belgium this Easter. I wish for a happy and safe long weekend for all. Gingerbread house from Tasmanian Gingerbread

Trust me, once you try Lyle’s golden syrup, you’ll never go back to the stuff in the squeezy bottle, it’s amazing; sort of deeper and darker and more treacly in flavour. If you’re not into golden syrup though (but honestly why?), then you could always make this a honey cake or maple syrup cake, those would[read more…]
Mmmm health food! Haha but anyway, I put these super easy, beautiful trifles together for the Christmas/holiday season. I mean I wouldn’t do this sort of thing outside of celebration times but for a fun dessert, they look so whimsical and cute and well, just a little OTT. As with the lemon cake I posted the other day,[read more…]
Have a brilliant weekend all (we’ll be watching heaps of spooky movies tonight I’m sure and maybe a cocktail or two).
Have a beautiful and safe long weekend all and happy Easter!
This luscious, fluffy, super easy chocolate mousse pie with a sinful hint of Baileys (and a truckload of thick cream!) is just the thing for today. I used the original Baileys however if you can get your hands on some Baileys Chocolat Luxe, that would be brilliant! Happy St Paddy’s Day all 🙂
Happy Halloween all (if you celebrate it that is). Here are some spooky stories if you’re game! Haunted places and ghost stories of Brisbane; and Village of the Dead: The Anjikuni Mystery
Tim Tams. Are they available in lots of other countries other than Australia? You’re missing out if they’re not! Tim Tams have gotten me through many a break-up and Swotvac week in my teens and 20s and I’ll always be fond of them. There are all sorts of fancy flavours these days but my favourite is the[read more…]
I had grand ideas of making a chocolate Guinness cake for St Patrick’s Day but ran out of time. Instead, I thought I’d go off the beaten track and offer this green smoothie I made recently which is such a lovely green colour, it seemed serendipitous, despite being devoid of butter, cream, potatoes or Guinness I’ve[read more…]
The reason for today’s post is exciting! Shionagh from Biome contacted me recently to ask if I might be interested in participating in their Mother’s Day promotion and to offer Australian readers a chance to win a gift basket for Mother’s Day, Sunday 12th May. I’m so happy to promote Biome as they’re one of[read more…]
To celebrate this year’s St Paddy’s Day, I thought I’d make a hearty beef stew with Guinness. It doesn’t get more Irish than that hey?! I’ve never made one with a soda bread crust before (although I’ve made soda bread and am mad for it) and thought it looked really interesting. It was super easy[read more…]
Recently I was contacted by Natalie from Keep Left on behalf of Tassal, who very kindly asked if I would review some of their beautiful Tasmanian salmon products. Naturally I was super pleased to do this, as I love salmon and Tassal is a brand I buy regularly. Atlantic salmon is an extremely healthy variety of fish (all[read more…]
I was thrilled to be contacted by Kat from Keep Left PR to do a review for Bakers Delight, one of my favourite bakeries. Anyone who knows me is aware of my obsession for bakeries, and I usually find it difficult to walk past a Bakers Delight without stopping and staring like a little kid[read more…]
Champagne cocktails are so 60s and glamorous and I love them so I made some girly drinks for Christmas which were pretty and tasted lovely. A bit too much actually, they’re really quite intoxicating so you’ve been warned. Champagne is kind of naughty like that – all bubbly and innocent then bam! I thought I’d go sparkly pink[read more…]
