If you haven’t tried this refreshing, very English drink, you really should.
One cool but bright Sunday afternoon we went for a walk in the Spring sunshine, enjoying the heat on our skin …
Then we had Pimm’s and Limonata, picking strawberries out of the glass afterwards. Just perfect.
Recipe:
Pimm’s Cup No.1
San Pellegrino Limonata
Ice cubes
Lemon slices
Diced strawberries
Options: diced cucumber and strawberries or diced strawberries and orange slices
Measure out Pimm’s and Limonata ratio 1-3 into glass tumblers. Add lemon and strawberries.
I haven’t had a single glass of Pimms this summer, mind you the weather has been dire. Adding the limonata is an inspired idea. I am now craving a glass of Pimms, although I like cucumber in mine 🙂
Cucumber is lovely in Pimms 🙂
Pimms and limonata sound refreshingly good together, I usually just have mine plain pimms but this looks so refreshing. Love it when you said you picked the strawberries out of the glass afterwards 🙂 love the photos.
Thanks Ali 🙂
Pimm’s is so underused in the cocktail world. Its one of my fave refreshing drinks. I usually mix it with ginger ale but San Pellegrino Limonata sounds perfect for a hot summer evening. If you love Pimm’s, you should also try Tuaca. Its a vanilla citrus liqueur- mix with muddled limes and oranges and top with a slash of seltzer. It goes down fast so be careful! Cheers!
