A bunch of flowers

~ Thanks to all the lovelies who’ve commented on, supported and read my blog over the past year! Let’s all stop worrying about not looking perfect, how many fancy things we might want but not have, what people think of us, life not quite working out the way we thought and let’s all stop competing with each other.

Here’s to a healthy, dreamy, fun 2013 ~

Christmas isn’t always the happiest time for me for reasons I won’t go into … it feels like not very popular opinion to say that though doesn’t it!?  It’s funny how in western society we get told to be happy in certain situations and that’s that!  I do get into a bit of baking, putting up decorations, take lots of photos and get out and about though because it would feel weird not to.  Still, every now and again I stop all my running around, my breath catches a bit and I feel a bit sad.

On Christmas Eve Ant walked off to the shops announcing he was coming back with a surprise.  Given we had all the food and cocktail ingredients we needed and weren’t exchanging presents this year due to saving for our trip overseas (or moving interstate, we can never make up our minds!), I was excited to see what he came back with.  Like most girls, I was super happy to see him walk through the door with not one, but two gorgeous bunches of flowers.

These lovely flowers are now a Christmas tradition.  Such a sweet and pretty surprise (and it kept me out of trouble for a couple of hours taking pictures, uploading them and doing some fun processing).

So if anyone reading this had a bit of a blah Christmas, I hope it made you feel less alone.  And I’m happy for those who managed to have a fantastic Christmas also, good for you!

Lovely flowers and a beautiful tradition!

I’m not much of a Christmas person. Although I miss my family, I know that if I was at home my parents would be stressed out and fighting and it wouldn’t be a pleasant day. This year I took myself of hiking instead and had a great time.

Thanks for blogging in 2012 and for so many wonderful comments over at the Shape Of Things To Come. If you ever do make it down to Tas, be sure to say hi!

      T. xoxo

Will do Toni! Am so devastated about the bush fires, I hope they’re sorted soon.
