Let’s give a little

Hi darling readers

As much as I love cooking and posting nice things to brighten mine (and hopefully) others’ days … we all know this time of year is a really terrible time for a lot of people.  It’s not just having no nice food to eat or pressies to give your little ones but people also living in fear or feeling really lonely and sad.

I hate to think of people being in that situation so I thought I’d link two very worthy organisations who help a lot of folk in Australia; The Salvation Army and GIVIT.

I wonder if people might help out a little this season just to make sure someone has a happier Christmas?  It doesn’t have to be much, any little sweet donation helps.  You could also check out the Salvation Army’s Give a Lunch for Christmas campaign running all through December where you share photos of your favourite meals via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to encourage donations.

  1. I love this idea! My Dad’s and sister’s workplaces are doing collections for the Salvation Army so we are collecting cans of non-perishables to put in the food bins, and gifts to donate for the kids. Although we should try to give year round, Christmas time is when it really comes to mind how good some of us have it, and how tough some of our fellow humans are doing. Time to spread the love.
