A wholesome, full-of-good-fats, restorative smoothie so delightfully creamy it doesn’t even taste healthy.

If you feel you need some healthy, heart starting goodness after the debauchery of Christmas and New Years, this is just the thing.

 Recipe:

1 cold, ripe, medium sized avocado, peeled and diced
2 x 15ml tblspns almond meal or LSA (ground linseed, sunflower seeds and almonds)
1 decent sized banana, sliced
400mls chilled organic almond, oat or rice milk
20mls agave nectar (or to taste)

Puree ingredients in blender until blended and almonds are ground.

Serves: 2

  1. Hi Emma-I have never made avocado smoothie…with the raw almonds, and bananas, I can only imagine how yummy it is. I use organic blue agave nectar to sweeten things, and the almond milk really is a great choice!
Have a wonderful week, Emma…thanks for your support and encouragement:DDD
    Hugs,

  2. I’m intrigued by the adition of avocado, I’ve never thought that it could taste good in a smoothie but it looks pretty good and it is never too late to try new things

  3. I make a version of this with 3 bananas, one avocado, a handful of almonds and 150ml of semi skimmed milk – really sweet and keeps me going for hours

  4. Wow!!!!!!i just made this for lunch and it was fantastic. Thanks so much for the recipe.

  5. I had an almost bad avacado, and was looking at 100 ways to use an avacado, where I chose this splendid recipe! Just made it for breakfast this morning and it was so amazingly delicious!! With some exceptions I added bavarian yogurt, cherry juice, honey instead of agave, and regular milk replacing almond milk. I have never tried using avacado or nuts in a smoothie before, but the result is awesome (: Not too sweet, just a nice mellow flavor where all of the ingredients really compliment each other. Thank you so much my tongue and tummy are very satisfied.
